The owners of this beautiful 1940s property felt that their original leaded windows were overdue for an upgrade because of heat loss and diminished appeal. Met Therm Windows retained the original oak subframes and mullions to keep the unique character intact and fitted their AG210 slimline metal windows that match the instantly recognisable classic style. 13 new windows were finished in a custom muted slate grey (RAL 7015).
To add a gentle contrast to the new windows, all hardware was supplied in Satin Chrome. Met Therm fitted Steel Window Fittings’ multipoint system with key-locking handle (MP158). Concealed Multipoint systems ensure that heat retention and security is dramatically improved by creating a tight seal.
To complete the new design, the butterfly slide stay (B59 OG) limits the window opening and also gives the ability to hold the open window into place.
The owners were very happy with their upgraded windows both in usability and appearance, stating, “People always mention how good the windows look.”
